Very cool experience, even though I have never surfed in my life. The staff was very attentive and didn't sneer because I was a noob. The price for me at least was worth it. Experience and service has value. Might be a bi-weekly venture. Wished they had a little area where kids can wade tho...

A really cool place. The staff was EXTREMELY kind and helpful. I was always asked if i wanted a ride on a golf cart around their big complex.

Fun and a good set-up. Value is not there yet. $60 for an hour that isn't even an hour (why pull us off 7 minutes early in the last session of the day?). There needs to be volume discount - half price second hour or 4 for the price of 2. Also give locals a reasonable season pass option - could be daytime hours or winter season. I look forward to spending more time and being a more reliable customer when the pricing and operational kinks are worked out.

I have surfed my whole life and although the reef wave is relatively tame,it was also humbling. Fresh water means start with a board with some volume. If you have never surfed this wave, add more volume for learning how to catch this unusual wave. This wave does not push you down the line but pushes you backwards away from the pocket. Its fast. The staff was super helpful with tips on positioning and catching the waves.

Best place in the world to learn to surf!

Such an awesome experience. Who would have thought that one could go surfing in the middle of nowhere Austin TX. I took a 30 min course and went surfing for one hour. I stood up but didnt stay standing for very long. They also have Great beer too!

The music? Its a surf crowd. Old blues music all day long on a weekend, really? Other than that. Awesome.

Had my first ever "surf session" here and had a great time. I think it's a great controlled environment to learn how to stand up and hit some tiny to medium size waves. As many other people have commented I agree that the price is a bit steep and the sessions go by really quick. The facilities were clean. It would be nice if they planted trees and had a lawn to chill on. Based on the fact that we are in Texas I plan on saving some money and going back. Overall good times with some things that could be changed and improved. I think 3/5 is fair. Thanks!

UPDATE 11/23/17 Well, prices went up, not down. And they offered an insulting “season pass” offering that had you paying up front for a paltry 20% Winter season discount, then closed for the winter season. This place is very fun, but until they work out pricing that takes care of locals, my review is dropping from 3 to 2 stars.
